Within the scope of the Rectorate elective course SUST 301 Sustainable Development, Assoc. Prof. Ebru Tomris Aydoğan from the Department of Economics at Yeditepe University and Assoc. Prof. Olga Akimova from Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School carried out a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project titled “Critical Thinking for Sustainable Development.”
As part of the project, Assoc. Prof. Ebru Tomris Aydoğan and Assoc. Prof. Olga Akimova delivered synchronous online joint classes to students from Yeditepe University and Lomonosov Moscow State University during the first eight weeks of the 2025–2026 Fall semester. Throughout the COIL process, students from both universities worked together in international online groups and presented their group projects online at the end of the sessions.
The group projects were evaluated by Assoc. Prof. Ebru Tomris Aydoğan and Assoc. Prof. Olga Akimova. A total of 23 students who successfully completed the group projects became eligible to receive certificates jointly prepared by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yeditepe University and Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School.
