Application in Major and Minor Programs

Application conditions about major and minor programs are represented in the below:

  • It can be applied to major program at the earliest third semester and latest fifth semester.
  • It can be applied to minor program at the earliest third semester and latest sixth semester.
  • Faculty’s Board of Management which can be applied for major or minor program by student evaluates. If this board approves, it informs the faculty of student about the result.

 

Admission in Major and Minor Programs

Admission conditions about major and minor are represented in the below:

  • All courses taken from student during major program must be completed successfully.
  • For double major program, student must have at least GPA 3.00 and be in the 20% of success rating of class.
  • For minor program, student must have at least GPA 2.50
  • In the admission of major program admitting the students with aptitude test, students must be also successful in the aptitude test.

 

Operation in Major and Minor Programs

Operation in major and minor programs are represented in the below:

  • Student can not enroll in more than one major program at the same time. However, she/he can enroll in minor program with a second diploma at the same time.
  • Supervisor is appointed in order to lend assistance to students by chairs of the department.
  • In the major program education certificate is prepared for minor program.
  • Student in the major program can transfer to the second major program if she/he satisfies the conditions.

 

Continuation Conditions in the Program

Continuation conditions in the program are represented in the below:

  • GPA of second major program can drop up to 2.50 for once during double major program. When the GPA of second major program drops under GPA 2.50, student’s registration in second major program is deregistered.
  • In order to continue the minor program, student’s GPA in major program must be at least 2.30. If the student do not satisfy this condition, registration in minor program of student is deregistered.
  • If the student do not take course from major and minor program in two consecutive semesters, student’s registration in second major and/or minor program is deregistered.
  • If the student do not fulfill the conditions of this program, according to regulations, his/her registration in double major or minor program is deregistered.
  • Courses related to second major program taken by students who drop this program are changed into non-credit courses.
  • If the student drops major or minor program, she/he do not have to repeat unsuccessful courses in double major program or minor program.
